Dr. Wenjaun Shan was born in Liaoning province. She received her Bachelor degree (1998) and Master degree (2001) in department of chemistry from Liaoning Normal University. Research work focus on combustion of methane over CeO2-based catalysts supervised by Prof. Can Li in Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Science. In 2004, she received her Ph.D. degree in physical chemistry from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics under the supervision of Prof. Can Li and Prof. Wenjie Shen. Her dissertation focuses on hydrogen production from oxidative steam reforming of methanol over Ce1-XCuXOY solid solution, in which a novel Ce1-XCuXOY solid solution was prepared by complexation-combustion route and catalytic performance and reaction mechanism in oxidative steam reforming of methanol were studied in detail. She was awarded "P&G Co. Scholarship for Outstanding Ph. D. Students" during Ph. D study. After obtaining her Ph. D. degree, she was offered a postdoctoral position from the French-Chinese Foundation (FFCSA) for a research at CNRS-ENSIC in Nancy from Dec. 2004 to Dec. 2005.  Her research interests include preparation, characterization and catalytic properties of CeO2-based catalytic materials.
